Taiwan's top national universities cooperate with leading R&D companies to establish national key research institutes

台灣半導體產業在世界占有領先地位，不過近幾年慢慢浮現人才隱憂。

為了把握產業優勢，教育部特別訂定「國家重點領域產學合作及人才培育創新條例」，政府與民間企業共同提供研究學院運作資金，協助頂尖國立大學與研發領先企業合作設立國家重點領域研究學院。

目前國內已有4所半導體學院，分別是成功大學的智慧半導體及永續製造學院、陽明交通大學產學創新研究學院、台灣大學重點科技研究學院，以及清華大學半導體研究學院。

其中，清華大學找來有半導體界「浸潤式微影之父」、台積前研發副總經理林本堅擔任院長，讓外界對於清大半導體學院發展有高度期待。

Taiwan's semiconductor industry occupies a leading position in the world, but talent worries have gradually emerged in recent years.

In order to grasp the advantages of the industry, the Ministry of Education has specially formulated the "Regulations on Industry-University Cooperation and Talent Cultivation and Innovation in National Key Fields". The government and private enterprises jointly provide funds for the operation of research institutes, and assist top national universities and leading R&D companies to cooperate in establishing national key areas of research institutes .

At present, there are 4 semiconductor colleges in China, namely the College of Smart Semiconductors and Sustainable Manufacturing of Chenggong University, the Institute of Industry-University Innovation Research of Yangming Jiaotong University, the Key Technology Research Institute of National Taiwan University, and the Institute of Semiconductor Research of Tsinghua University.
