TSMC built 17 factories in 3 years, 14 of which are in Taiwan

台積電昨舉行今年度技術論壇,晶圓廠營運副總經理王英郎表示,台積電為了滿足客戶快速增加的需求,二○一七到二○一九年的三年間,除了擴建晶圓廠,也擴建先進封裝廠,地點從台灣擴大到全球擁有生產據點,以對客戶提供更好的服務;去年台積電共興建七座新廠,包括台灣三座與海外兩座晶圓廠及台灣兩座先進封裝廠,明年將蓋五座新廠。
王英郎指出,台灣新廠規劃包括晶圓十八廠從五到九期,將是三奈米量產基地,新竹寶山晶圓二十廠為二奈米廠,下半年動工的高雄晶圓二十二廠,將擴充七奈米及二十八奈米產能;全球新建廠包括中國南京二十八奈米廠,將於今年第四季量產,美國亞歷桑納州五奈米廠、日本廠也在興建中,高雄廠、美國廠與日本廠預計二○二四年量產,竹南先進封裝廠今年下半年量產。
